Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 20 January 2026  ·  Effective Date: 20 January 2026

1. Definitions

In these Terms, the following definitions apply: "Tickwise" refers to the business operating at 15 Jalan Bendahara, 75100 Melaka, Malaysia. "Client" refers to any individual or entity that requests a service from Tickwise. "Service" refers to any watch evaluation, overhaul, restoration, or related work carried out by Tickwise. "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions, together with any service quotation or intake record agreed upon between Tickwise and the Client.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a watch for service, contacting Tickwise for an enquiry, or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms. Our services are available to individuals aged 18 and above. If you are submitting a watch on behalf of another person, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

3. Service Description

Tickwise offers three categories of watch repair service: Timekeeping Evaluation, Precision Overhaul, and Timeless Restoration. Each service is described in detail on our website and on any intake documentation. Services are available at our workshop at the address above. Online enquiries do not constitute a service booking until confirmed in writing.

4. Intake and Pre-Work Agreement

All watches submitted for service are logged at intake with a written record of their condition. No service work will begin until the Client has been informed of the proposed scope and cost, and has provided explicit approval. This may be given in person, by telephone, or in writing. Tickwise will not proceed with additional work identified during service without first notifying the Client and obtaining renewed approval.

5. Pricing and Payment

Published prices represent starting points. Final pricing may vary depending on the condition of the watch, the availability of parts, and any additional requirements identified during service. All prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). Payment is due upon collection of the completed watch. Accepted methods of payment include cash and bank transfer. Tickwise reserves the right to retain a watch until full payment is received.

6. Parts and Materials

Where replacement parts are required, Tickwise will use manufacturer-recommended or functionally equivalent components sourced from verified suppliers. For heritage restoration work, Tickwise will make reasonable efforts to source era-appropriate parts, though availability cannot be guaranteed. Any significant parts cost will be communicated to the Client prior to sourcing.

7. Timelines

Service timelines provided at intake are estimates based on normal workload and parts availability. Tickwise will notify the Client of any material change to the expected timeline. Delays caused by parts sourcing, additional repair requirements, or circumstances beyond our control do not constitute a breach of contract.

8. Client Responsibilities

The Client is responsible for providing accurate information about the watch at intake, including known faults, prior repairs, and any modifications. The Client is also responsible for collecting the completed watch within 30 days of being notified that the service is complete. Watches not collected within 90 days may be subject to a storage charge.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Tickwise website, including text, photographs, and design elements, is the property of Tickwise and may not be reproduced without prior written permission. Photographs taken during service work remain the property of Tickwise but are shared with the Client as part of the documented service record.

10. Disclaimers

Tickwise provides services with care and skill, but cannot guarantee specific outcomes in every case. Watches are complex mechanical objects; unforeseen issues may be discovered during service. Tickwise does not provide valuations or insurance assessments. Recommendations regarding future servicing are provided in good faith and do not constitute legal or financial advice.

11. Limitation of Liability

Tickwise's liability to the Client for any loss or damage arising from a service will not exceed the amount paid for that service. Tickwise is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of market value, or loss of enjoyment associated with a watch being unavailable during the service period. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, personal injury, or death caused by negligence.

12. Abandoned Property

If a Client fails to collect a watch within 90 days of being notified that the service is complete, and cannot be reached after reasonable attempts, Tickwise reserves the right to treat the watch as abandoned property and dispose of it in accordance with applicable Malaysian law.

13. Termination

Either party may withdraw from a service arrangement before work has commenced, with no penalty. Once work has begun, the Client will be responsible for costs reasonably incurred up to the point of cancellation. Tickwise reserves the right to decline any service request at its discretion.

14. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through direct communication. If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter may be referred to mediation before any legal proceedings are initiated. Any legal proceedings arising from these Terms shall be conducted in the courts of Melaka, Malaysia.

15. Changes to Terms

Tickwise may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
