Why Tickwise
A few things that shape the way we work — and the experience you can expect.
Honest Assessments
We tell you what a watch needs, not what sounds impressive. If a simple service suffices, we say so.
Measured Timelines
We work at the pace each watch requires. Estimates are realistic and communicated clearly before work begins.
Proper Equipment
Timing machines, ultrasonic cleaning, and calibrated tools — the right equipment for work done properly.
Clear Documentation
Every service is recorded. Restoration work comes with a written log and photographs of each stage.
Respectful Handling
Watches are handled with care at every step. Sentimental pieces receive the same attention as rare ones.

Common Questions
Things people often want to know before bringing a watch in.
What happens during the Timekeeping Evaluation?
Your watch is placed on a timing machine to measure its daily rate against standard tolerance. We also inspect the winding mechanism, crown function, and case back seal condition. You'll receive a clear written summary — no unexpected charges.
How often should a mechanical watch be serviced?
Most watchmakers suggest a full overhaul every five to seven years, though this depends on how often the watch is worn and its age. An evaluation is a good starting point if you're unsure.
Can you source parts for older or less common watches?
We make every effort to locate appropriate parts, including from specialist suppliers and verified secondary markets. For heritage restoration work, we specifically seek era-appropriate components and will be transparent about availability and any alternatives.
What does the Timeless Restoration process look like?
It begins with a conversation about the watch — its history, condition, and what you hope for its future. From there, we develop a bespoke plan covering movement, dial, hands, case, bracelet, and any other elements relevant to that specific piece. Every stage is documented and photographed.
Are the service prices fixed, or are there additional costs?
Listed prices represent starting points. If additional parts or work are identified during the service, we will always inform you and obtain your agreement before proceeding. Nothing happens without your knowledge.
Do I need to make an appointment to drop off my watch?
Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours. That said, if you'd like dedicated time for a longer conversation — particularly for restoration enquiries — reaching out in advance helps us prepare properly for you.
