Melaka · Precision Overhaul
My grandfather's Seiko 5 had been sitting in a drawer for years — running, but noticeably slow. After the overhaul, it keeps time within a few seconds a day. What I appreciated most was being told exactly what was found and what was done before collection. Nothing was done without my say-so.

Kuala Lumpur · Timekeeping Evaluation
I wasn't sure whether my watch needed a full service or just a battery. The evaluation answered that clearly — it turned out the movement was performing well, and the battery was the only thing needed. It felt good to get an honest assessment rather than a recommendation for unnecessary work. I'll return when a proper overhaul is due.

Melaka · Timeless Restoration
My father's Omega Constellation from the 1960s needed serious attention after decades in storage. The conversation at the start of the process was unlike any experience I've had at a watch counter — genuine interest in the piece's history. The finished result, and the photo portfolio, exceeded anything I expected. The watch runs and looks as it should.

Seremban · Precision Overhaul
Dropped off a Citizen automatic that had been running quite erratically. The turnaround was fourteen working days as quoted. Accuracy is now well within what I'd expect from a freshly serviced movement. My one comment would be that the timeline update mid-service could come slightly earlier, though the outcome was worth the patience.

Melaka · Timeless Restoration
My late mother's Lady Datejust needed restoration work that required sourcing parts I wasn't confident could be found. Tickwise located an appropriate crown and crystal through specialist channels. The watch looks as my mother wore it. The photo portfolio they provided was something I didn't expect but was very moved by.

Johor Bahru · Timekeeping Evaluation
I drove up from JB specifically because a colleague recommended Tickwise. The evaluation was straightforward, the written report was useful, and the advice on when an overhaul might make sense was practical rather than promotional. A good experience from start to finish.

A 1974 Seiko 5 Returned to Accurate Service
Precision Overhaul · 12 working days
The Challenge
A 50-year-old Seiko 5 automatic, worn daily until the late 1990s and then stored, was running severely slow — losing around 8 minutes per day. The owner suspected worn lubricants and a potentially faulty balance assembly.
The Solution
Full movement disassembly confirmed dried lubricants throughout the gear train, and a hairspring that had developed a slight distortion over decades. After cleaning, the hairspring was carefully straightened and the movement rebuilt with fresh lubricants. The keyless works were also cleaned and the crown tube seal replaced.
The Outcome
After the 48-hour observation period, the timing machine showed the movement performing at +4 seconds per day — well within normal tolerance for a movement of this age. The owner was provided with a written record and timing machine printout.
A 1963 Longines Heritage Restoration
Timeless Restoration · 11 weeks
The Challenge
A 1963 Longines Flagship, inherited through three generations, arrived in non-running condition with a cracked crystal, a partially lifted dial foot, oxidised hands, and a case that showed deep surface marking. The bracelet was missing two links.
The Solution
A restoration plan was developed over two consultations with the owner. The movement was overhauled, the dial foot stabilised without disturbing the original lacquer, the hands were carefully cleaned and the lume stabilised, and matching era-correct links were sourced from a specialist European supplier. A period-correct domed acrylic crystal was located and fitted.
The Outcome
The watch was returned running at +6 seconds per day, with a 47-photograph portfolio documenting every stage of the process from initial intake to final timing test. The owner described it as looking precisely as it did in a photograph from 1971.
A Contemporary Automatic Evaluation That Prevented a Costly Overhaul
Timekeeping Evaluation · 1 working day
The Challenge
An owner believed their 4-year-old Orient automatic needed a full overhaul, having read online that automatics should be serviced every 3–5 years. The watch was running, but they wanted reassurance.
The Solution
The evaluation showed an amplitude of 274 degrees — a healthy figure — and a daily rate of +7 seconds, which is within the movement's published specification. The seals were found to be in good condition. The evaluation report noted that the movement showed no signs of lubricant degradation at this stage.
The Outcome
The owner was advised that an overhaul at this point would not produce a materially different result to the watch's current performance. The evaluation paid for clear information — not unnecessary work. A note in the service record recommended revisiting the assessment in approximately three years.
